Kate Townsend plays piano, guitar, piano accordion, ukulele and sings. She has been musical director and pianist for theatre productions. An environmentalist, Kate was first attracted to Dave’s original music for its depth of insight into environmental issues.
Dave Clark plays banjo, guitar, concertina, harmonica, ukulele and sings. He has worked as a solo artist and also with many bands. He presents concerts in kindergartens and
schools, has produced numerous albums and toured widely throughout Australia and overseas.

Multicultural Folk Show
for children with
Dave Clark & Kate Townsend

Dave Clark has been presenting concerts to children for many years. His wife Kate, also a wonderful musician & singer now joins him to present a unique & original selection of multicultural songs for young children. The concert of approximately 50 minutes long includes Suli Ram, a welcoming song from Malaysia, Through the Woods We Go, with children skipping to concertina & guitar to lyrics about about Dave's childhood in the English woods. The children join in Irish dancing to Dave's Bodrhan, & Kate's accordion playing of the Irish song I'll Tell Me Ma. The concert includes Aboriginal Adynamathna songs of the Flinders Ranges Oh My Wallah & Children of the Bush, the Bangladeshi song Indi, Bindi, Shindi & Vietnamese movement  song One Elephant shook his tail trunk & head.
Dave & Kate regularly visit India, working & performing in Tibetan Refugee schools, & trekking in the Himalayas. The concert usually concludes with Dave's Song Climbing Up The Mountain with the children joining in Hindi & Tibetan dancing & if time  permits, some simple cirlce dances to banjo & accordion.
